Precautions and Care Instructions

*What is yarn-dyed No. 8 canvas?
The base fabric is woven in Osaka (Senshu), a region famous for cotton-synthetic blended textiles, and then the yarn is dyed at a traditional Bushu indigo dyeing factory in Saitama Prefecture. Because it uses reactive dyes, it has better colorfastness against friction than conventional canvas, so you can use it with peace of mind without worrying about color fading. In addition, a resin sizing is applied to the surface to give it a firm, crisp texture.

*What is Nume (vegetable-tanned) leather?
Tannin-tanned leather has a natural texture that changes to a unique color and character, becoming softer as you use it. The back of the leather has been treated to prevent shedding.

<usage precautions>
Because leather is a natural material, it may have natural marks, color variations, stains, wrinkles, veins, or black spots. It may fade due to friction or moisture, so please try to wear clothing of a similar color. Leather is sensitive to light, oils from sweat, and moisture like rain; leaving it in direct sunlight or in a wet state for a long time may cause fading or mold. If it gets wet, wipe it off quickly with a dry towel and let it air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Please enjoy the aging process unique to natural leather. While we take every possible precaution regarding colorfastness, it is impossible to completely prevent fading with current technology. Please be aware that color fading or transfer may occur due to moisture or friction, so use extra caution when using the item in rainy weather or wearing light-colored clothing.

<care instructions>
Before use, applying a water-repellent spray to the parts other than the leather will help repel water and dirt. Please be careful not to spray the leather parts, such as the handles or brand label. Using the water-repellent spray regularly is more effective. If a part of the fabric becomes dirty, dab the area with a clean towel dampened with warm water to transfer the dirt onto the towel. Dirt can often be removed by tapping the area with adhesive tape. Dirt on the leather can often be removed by rubbing it with an eraser. Because it is a natural material, it will change to a unique color and character and soften with use. Although the back of the leather has been treated, if any leather fibers begin to shed, applying a clear leather cream to the back should settle them.</care></usage>
