*What is pre-dyed No. 8 canvas?
It is woven in the Senshu region of Osaka, a thriving hub for cotton and synthetic textile production. The yarn is dyed at a traditional Bushu indigo dyeing factory in Saitama Prefecture before being woven into raw fabric. Because we use reactive dyes, the fabric has better colorfastness than conventional canvas, so you can use it with confidence knowing it will not fade. Additionally, the surface is treated with a resin sizing to give it a firm, crisp texture.

*What is vegetable-tanned leather?
This tannin-tanned leather features a natural texture that develops a unique color and character, becoming softer the more you use it. The underside of the leather has been treated to prevent shedding.

<precautions for use>
As leather is a natural material, it may have natural markings such as scratches, color irregularities, stains, wrinkles, blood vessel patterns, or black spots. Color may transfer due to friction or moisture, so please wear clothing of a similar color whenever possible. The leather is sensitive to light, oils from sweat, and moisture such as rain; leaving it in direct sunlight or wet for extended periods may cause sun damage or mold. If it gets wet, wipe it off promptly with a dry towel and let it air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Please enjoy the natural aging process unique to genuine leather. While we take the utmost care regarding colorfastness, it is impossible to completely prevent color loss with current technology. Please be aware that color transfer may occur due to moisture or friction, so use extra caution when using the item in the rain or wearing light-colored clothing.

<care instructions>
Applying a waterproof spray to the fabric (avoiding the leather parts) before use will help repel water and dirt. Be careful not to spray the leather handles or brand label. Frequent use of waterproof spray is more effective. If a part of the fabric becomes soiled, moisten a clean towel with warm water and gently pat the area to lift the dirt onto the towel. Loose surface dirt can often be removed by patting it with adhesive tape. Dirt on the leather can often be removed by rubbing it gently with an eraser. Due to the nature of the material, it will change in color and character and soften with use. The underside of the leather is treated, but if any leather fibers begin to shed, applying a clear leather cream to the back will help settle them.
