* What is yarn-dyed No. 8 canvas?
The fabric is woven from raw cotton in the Senshu region of Osaka, a hub for cotton and synthetic textile production. The yarn is then dyed in Saitama Prefecture by a workshop specializing in traditional Bushu indigo dyeing. Because we use reactive dyes, the fabric has better colorfastness than conventional canvas, so you can use it with confidence knowing it will not fade. Additionally, the surface is treated with a resin sizing to give it a firm, crisp texture.

* What is vegetable-tanned leather?
Tannin-tanned leather has a natural feel that develops a unique color and character, becoming softer with use. The underside of the leather has been treated to prevent shedding.

<precautions for use>
As leather is a natural material, it may contain natural marks, color irregularities, stains, wrinkles, veins, or black spots. Please be aware that color transfer may occur due to friction or moisture, so we recommend wearing clothing of a similar color. The material is sensitive to light, oils (such as sweat), and moisture (such as rain); leaving it in direct sunlight or in a damp state for long periods can cause discoloration or mold. If the item gets wet, wipe it off promptly with a dry towel and let it air-dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Please enjoy the aging process unique to natural leather. While we take every possible precaution regarding colorfastness, it is impossible to completely prevent fading with current technology. Please be especially careful when using the item in the rain or when wearing light-colored clothing, as color transfer may occur.

<care instructions>
Before use, applying a water-repellent spray (avoiding the leather parts) will help repel water and dirt. Be careful not to get the spray on the leather handles or brand tag. Applying the spray periodically is more effective. If part of the fabric becomes soiled, dab the area with a clean towel dampened with warm water to lift the stain. Loose debris can often be removed by dabbing the area with adhesive tape. Surface dirt on the leather can often be removed by gently rubbing with an eraser. As a natural material, the leather will soften and develop its own unique color and character over time. While the underside of the leather is treated, if any leather dust appears, applying a transparent leather cream to the back should resolve it.</care></precautions>
