The leather used for the handles of our canvas bag series is domestically produced tanned leather. "Tanned leather" refers to hide that has been tanned using tannins, a component derived from plant astringency. Also known as "natural leather," it is characterized by the fact that no chemical products are used from the raw material stage through tanning, and no coloring is applied, allowing you to enjoy the leather's original, natural appeal. Because no surface treatment is performed, you can feel the individual characteristics of each hide, such as scratches and vein marks.
As you use it, the leather absorbs oils from your hands and sunlight, developing a unique sheen and an amber patina that you can enjoy as it ages. Tanned leather is also known for being durable and long-lasting, so with proper care, you can use it for a lifetime.

What if I spill coffee?

If a stain gets on a part of the fabric, dampen a clean towel with warm water and gently dab the stained area to transfer the stain onto the towel; this will help reduce it. (If using a neutral detergent, be sure to dilute it.) Please dry in the shade.

For surface dirt, it can often be removed by
dabbing with adhesive tape.
